When the role is called up Queen Ifrica will definitely be there to answer to the “most outstanding female cultural artist” or whatever the accolades and award may be, she is a sure winner for her positive message through music. Reggae Sumfest 2017 had the Royal Empress expelling all immoral practice.

Queen Ifrica could do no wrong, with her lyrical combination of teaching to all the Jamaicans, and visitors, her English version of “Daddy Don’t Touch Me There” in Spanish. Points on every negative situation that was needed to view, speaking out on the politicians, child molester, child abuser, Jamaican female, she ask for a low beat from bands man, while she said “ wha qwan with whonu black woman” “ the equal rights and justice, what me a ask for, is more money like the man dem”, “Jamaican people you need to respect the cultural”, follow her hit “Times Like This”, I missing our Heroes”. A very knowledgeable performance, with a positive energy, she invited her son to sing along with her, “Trueversion” with his own unique musical style, Ifrica pulled out the entire stop, culturally and spiritually, again great performance.

The Doctor Beenie Man was another wow for the night and had Sumfest right where he wanted them with a whole entertainment package. The Doctor had all the right moves and current hits to keep Sumfest waving. He had the rude boys rocking and the girls backing it up to the king of the dancehall anthems. If that wasn’t enough he had the latest dance moves to wow Catherine Hall. The big wow of the night however came when the Doctor invited on stage his three kids, his daughter Crystal to collaborate. Sumfest loved their public display of affection, not to mention both were stunningly dressed, Crystal in silver romper…as something from sassy heaven.
